I received a call from a good friend and co-worker at work just after 6:23 pm.
His words were that, upon arrival at work, he was called into the office to talk with the two Sales Managers. They informed him that he had just been "let go"..
Shocked? Yes, as I had been thinking of quitting for some time now and, quite honestly, figured that if and when I did, that Dick would be able to carry on without me.
From day one...Back in late August, when I had first asked about working there, Dick was a strong supporter of of my expertise and knowledge that I could bring to the job.
Dick and I had became good friends because we share a common interest in a "American Icon" that we sold for a local company. The product that we sell is an Airstream, a unique line of travel trailer and motorhome RV.
Our hours were vastly different, as I worked from 9 am till 5 pm and his hours were from 5 pm till 8 pm. We both worked the same hours on Saturday and Sunday. Despite these hours, we both got to know each other and respect each other's knowledge about the product that we sold. What I didn't know, he'd filled me in and, vise versa.

Having now started a blogger, I am curious as to where this new journey will take me.
Is this to become a personal journal or, viewed by the "public"?
Time will tell.

It's now Dec 1st and I'm back from my mini-vacation to Va Beach in my Airstream. The time was well spend, relaxing~!!
Walked on the beach numerous times with the sounds of the rushing waves and the seagulls overhead. Speaking of which, I feed them day old bread at least three times. It was fun to watch them make eye to eye contact with you as they flew in formation, waiting for the next piece of bread to be tossed their way. After awhile, they even begin to pick it right out of my finger tips, before I got the chance to toss it. I must say, I never had so much fun as I did when feeding the seagulls.
It's now Dec 7th,2K8. Oh what a day we have here upon us~! My parents generation did always remembered this day well~! This was not meant nor intented to be a history lesson but, rather a day of rememberances~!! We should never forget to honor the WORLD'S GREAT GENERATION nor, who was what then, for history has a way of repeating itself. Truly you must never forget the aura of that distant "time".
We must never judge ourself harshly nor, those who gave their lives so that we may have our's.
